the trophy

I have always thought that the most beautiful people were as lovely on the inside as they were on the out.  NOW, I'm not saying that inner beauty is what makes you want to jump a persons bones when you first see them, nope pretty sure its the outter, thats what gives you quivers. However, I think it totally different for women then it is for men, once a woman loves a man she will stick by him and love him no matter what he looks like down the road.  Fat, bald, gray, it dosen't matter, women still see the man they fell in love with no matter how much he changes pysically.  MEN on the other hand its a different matter. Men will love you as long as you stay pretty or rich, or what ever it was that drew them to you in the first place, if you change so will they. The minute you are no longer a trophy to be shown around and make him the envy of all of his friend, you start to loose value. OK... maybe not all men are like that but lets face it most of them are.  Just pick up a couple of pounds or get a little gray and see how he starts acting, all of a sudden you turn into quasimoto.  You know when you have lost value when he stops taking you any where, and if anyone comes by the house, he steps outside and closes the door behind him as if to say that what's inside, is too hideous to be viewed by mortal man. I wonder What makes women so excepting.

What happens when you stop being the trophy?
I have always thought that the most beautiful people were as lovely on the inside as they were on the out.  NOW, I'm not saying that inner beauty is what makes you want to jump a persons bones when you first see them, nope pretty sure its the outter, thats what gives you quivers. I've always wondered about the What?  What  makes a relationship last? What makes a relationship hot? What makes the difference between being exciting or dull.  Some friendships are forged from the word hello and some take a longer, then there are those that are just NEVER going to happen no matter what you do. What makes the connection or lack there of.  What makes a man decide to tell you that he is no longer going to take part in any holiday day that requires his participation and that includes birthdays?(UGGGGHH  WHAT!!!!!). So after much consideration I have a few theories and want to hear from others who have wondered about the WHAT?
I find myself being confused most of the time about relationships.  What does a man mean when he says " I am no longer going to be envolved in any holiday or any day for that matter that requires my participation" . WHAT????  So, let me get this straight.... you want me to cook, clean,do laundry, take care of the bills, and the house as well as hold down a 9 to 5 and YOU can't be envolved in  days that show me that you care.   WOW!!  On the other hand I have a girlfriend who's husband does EVERYTHING!!! all she does is plays tennis and tans on the boat all summer, then in the winter spends her time in the mall shopping for the latest fashions. However, he still manages to validate her on every holiday or day that requires his participation.   What the hell?

Me....I always have questions that roll around in the back of my head usually I can figure them out.  However, the one question that I can't seem to answer is the "what" what makes some relationships last 60 years and some 60 days?  What makes some couples fit together like pieces of a puzzle, while others fit more like a rubics cube?.  I have always wondered what puts the spark in a relationship and what makes the fire fizzle out?  What makes a man look twice at the one he's with or twice at the one he wishes he was with.  What makes a woman go out of her to please the one she loves even though most of the time she feels like she doesn't exist.
